Week 2 // One Room Challenge

Thursday, October 9, 2014

Well we are upon week 2 in the challenge. I'm not freaking out yet! I did however have a moment of rage due to the fact that I ran out of wallpaper on the very last section. I did get some painting done on Sunday. My Dad aka the wallpaper dude, helped me by applying the wallpaper yesterday. So far so good.

The white walls definitely made the space a lot brighter, and of course feel a little bigger. The hardware I chose for the cabinets also came in yesterday and I love them! Exactly what I was envisioning. I can't wait to get them up on the cabinets.

This weekend I plan on reupholstering a bench that I found at a garage sale. It's exactly what I was looking for! I'm still contemplating if I'm going to leave the legs white or black? The fabric I ordered will be here today. So next week you can get a peek of what I picked for the bench.

This bench is huge. I think it's going to work well in the nook. The table is not very big due to the fact it's a small area. It's wide enough that when you sit you wouldn't have to pull the bench up to the table. I felt with a smaller bench in my plan that could be a problem, and it can seat more people or just lounge with coffee, a good read and fabulous pillows. Dreamy...

I'm excited for the new window treatments, I hope to get this coming week. Lots to do! Oh I forgot to mention my laptop decided to get a virus, so I apologize for the IPhone pictures for now. Once this project is done, I will have better quality photos taken with my actual camera. I swear!

Make sure to check out all the other linking participants here , there's a lot of talented people out there!
