ONE ROOM CHALLENGE // KITCHEN NOOK

Thursday, November 6, 2014

Welcome to the final week of the One Room Challenge!  This is my first time participating in this amazing challenge, it's been a bumpy, scary and exciting ride! I'm really touched with all the lovely people out there who've been following along here on the blog and Instagram. I'm completely blown away by some major designers (my design crushes) that have taken the time to follow and leave some encouraging comments. Thank you!!!

If you're not familiar with the One room Challenge hosted by Linda from Calling it Home, you can catch up on the previous posts here.  Week 1  //  Week 2  //  Week 3  //  Week 4  // Week 5

So without further ado, and after almost costing me my marriage, here's what we've all (I hope) been waiting for.

                               A quick before:

                                                               Here's the after:

It turned out to my satisfaction. The wallpaper is amazing! I know it's a little hard to see it but I like the fact that in person you see this amazing pattern, that your not quite sure is really there. The white made the space feel a lot brighter and bigger. After painting the walls the ceiling looks awful. Hopefully when we paint the rest of the kitchen we can give it a fresh coat.

It feels like a whole different space. It definitely has a different feel, more crisp and chic yet still family functional. Now only if I could get rid of that tile! I'll be back with a post on all my sources used in this design. I'd like to say thank you to my Husband for understanding all my crazy ideas and never doubting yet always encouraging me. My Dad was also a huge help and I'm forever grateful.

Make sure to check all the other fabulous linking participants  . There's lots of talent out there!  Also, don't forget to check out the other amazing bloggers & designers that revealed all their to die for designs on Wednesday !
